As part of their product offering, our client designs, develops and manufactures locking hydraulic actuators and control valves for both commercial and military applications. Through innovative design, precise and efficient manufacturing, and exemplary customer support, our client pursues its goal of being the number one fluid power controls supplier in the industry. They have several immediate openings for Aerospace Hydraulics Project Engineers at their facilities in Tucson, Arizona.

Reporting to the Aerospace Engineering Manager, the Hydraulic Project Engineer will be responsible to design and develop hydraulic actuation components meeting system level performance requirements.

Duties and responsibilities may include:
Perform component design layout, sizing, and performance analysis.
Review customer specifications and develop design configurations.
Interface often with customers to suggest improvements to the customer component specification or system level design.
Perform tolerance, stress, fatigue, performance, etc. analyses as required to validate new design configurations.
Maintain complete records of the design development process and qualification testing of all assigned components. Provide clear oral or written progress reports on all activities as required
Serve as the Engineering Department representative on the Material Review Board
Support new business proposal and marketing efforts by developing new design concepts, writing technical proposals, and developing engineering cost estimates.

The ideal candidate will possess a Mechanical or Aerospace Engineering degree, combined with a minimum of 5 years experience in aerospace hydraulic component design. He/she must be familiar with military specifications and understand manufacturing and assembly methods. Excellent communication and organizational skills are required. Knowledge of Locking Actuators, Spool/sleeve valves and FEA/Fatigue analysis is preferred. CAD (Catia, ProEngineer, SolidWorks) experience would be considered an asset. U.S. citizenship is mandatory.
