| Database Administrator AZ Open (J#39404) Education: Bachelors Degree Experience: 4 - 9 years One of our largest and most respected clients in Phoenix, Arizona, has an immediate need for an experienced Oracle DBA. This is for a 1 year, all-inclusive, 1099 or Corp-to-Corp contract. The are seeking a senior level DBA who will work in their Data Services group and will manage database design, creation and configuration, space management and other database maintenance procedures in multiple production and development environments. Responsibilities * Manage database design, creation and configuration, space management and other database maintenance procedures in a multiple production and development environments. * Manage the maintenance and administration of the Oracle Databases Design and manage backup and recovery procedures. * Manage database user and security administration. * Advance performance and application tuning. * Coordinate research, planning and implementation of databases and application patches and fixes. * Plan, design, test and implement upgrades for the Databases. * Facilitate root cause analysis on problems where appropriate, and identify action items/recommendations to address issues. * Maintain documentation and coding standards, lessons learned, best practices, and quality improvement documentation. * Will work closely with the development staff on all issues related to the Oracle Databases. * Responsible for 24/7 production support on a rotation basis for all oracle databases. Qualifications: * High School Degree or equivalent * 8 years Oracle DBA experience * 5 years Oracle 8i and 9i experience * 3 years Netapp filer experience * 3 years BMC - SQL Backtrack experience * 5 years strong Database Architect and Design experience * Oracle 9iRAC/10GRAC highly desired * Self-motivated, methodical, minimal direction, strong communication skills, and strong team player Qualified candidates please submit your resume in Word format, along with daytime contact information.
