| Dialysis Technician AZ Open (J#47644) Title: Dialysis Technician Company: Gila River Health Care Corporation DESCRIPTION: As directed and supervised by healthcare professional, performs a variety of activities to support and assist in provision of direct patient care in a dialysis setting in accordance with established program policies, standards, procedures and compliance with local, Tribal, state and federal regulations MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS: 1. Completion of a course of study leading to a high school diploma or equivalent 2. Graduation of an approved program as a Dialysis Patient Care Technician with certification; 1 year previous patient care experience in a dialysis center preferred 3. Current CPR and BLS certification, or ability to obtain certification within 30 days of hire 4. Ability to read, write, speak, hear and understand English ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS AND RESPONSIBILITIES: 1. As directed and supervised by healthcare professional, collects and records a variety of routine pre-dialysis patient data including, but not limited to: vital signs, weight, general condition and special problems 2. Prepares dialyzer and delivery system for use as prescribed 3. Monitors equipment to ensure proper operations; notifies appropriate healthcare professional of equipment problems 4. Makes safety checks on equipment; initiates and terminates hemodialysis treatment 5.
