| Director Construction AZ Open (J#47454) Title: Director Construction Company: Intel Corporation Description : SUMMARY This position is responsible for leading the team that focuses on the on-time completion of new stores. Timing is dictated by the company goals. The scope will include partnering with architects, city officials, developers, landlords, construction managers and contractors to ensure stores are built consistently according to plans and specifications and are delivered to the Operations group complete and on time. This position is responsible for the oversight, development and construction of assigned stores including direction of the architect in plan preparations, scheduling and quality standards. SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES This person is also responsible for construction negotiations for each job, insuring that plans and specifications with the general contractors are followed. Ultimately, this person is responsible for establishing and maintaining a favorable and effective working partnership with the Landlord, General Contractor, Architect, Engineer, Construction Manager etc., throughout the duration of the project. This person must understand both civil and building engineering as well as architectural standards and must be able to provide clear direction to outside consultants as well as internal associates and design groups. This person will be responsible for establishing and reviewing budgets including controlling project related costs. This will involve negotiations and interpretation of legal documents with the Landlords as well as assisting Legal in resolving deal points issues and provides careful review and comments on leases. This person will receive and acts upon requests from the PetSmart Operations group to provide construction coordination services for new stores, distribution center projects, salon remodels, specialty remodels, overall minor remodels, major remodels, building expansions, etc. Additionally, this person will provide evaluations and cost estimates for each request project to assist operations in providing analysis for approvals. This person will partner with Real Estate to develop a workable plan based on the store requests and assist operations and merchandising in achieving their desired goals.
