For further information on Bombardier please visit our website atwww.bombardier.comWe are looking for aElectrical Engineerfor our Site inPhoenix, ArizonaYour RoleManage the day-to-day activities at the project site related to the electrical installation for the Automated People Mover (APM) system. Coordinate field and contractor activities with Bombardier Transportation's and Client's schedule. Your Challenges* Ensure that all of the Client and Bombardier Transportation design criteria are met and the work is installed according to Bombardier Transportation and engineering requirements and best construction practices. Verify that the Post Installation Check Out (PICO) tests are satisfied, witnessed, and documented. Prepare the site for Testing and Commissioning and assist in the Testing and Commissioning of the system. * Responsible for the Management of the Electrical contractor which includes: monitoring the progress schedule, ensuring that the design criteria are being met, verifying that the contractor is executing the work in a safe manner, evaluation of contractor performance, noting possible issues that may result in a claim, bringing opportunities to the attention of project management and inspecting and documenting the work installation.* The above tasks will be the primary responsibility of the Electrical Engineer (60% of the time) until Testing and Commissioning starts. At this time the Electrical Installation should be complete and 60% of the Electrical Engineer's time will be devoted to Testing and Commissioning, and assisting the Testing and Commissioning team during the Testing and Commissioning of the system. * Attend project meetings in support of project management. * Plan work activities with the electrical contractor and the Testing and Commissioning team and develop safety conscious work plans in conjunction with the project schedule, the client requirements and Bombardier Transportation design requirements.* Maintain a daily log of activities that document the project events as they unfold.Your Experience and Qualifications * 5 years of experience in electrical installation with at least 2 years as a supervisor or lead of an electrical installation project for a commercial construction site.* Technical degree in Electrical Engineering, construction management, project management, or related field. * Experience working with high voltage power supply and distribution systems is preferred.* Excellent communication skills.Please note that this is a 2 year temporary contract with the possibility of permanency.You are a team player and have strong communication skills?
